The Hunt is now CLOSED!

Thanks for the great Hunt, everyone! It's noon in Pacific Time, which means we're now officially closed.

We had over 1200 entries for each team! After we check them for accuracy and validity, we'll select a winner and announce it--as well as winners for the individual contests--here on the blog as soon as possible.

Thanks again everyone, for playing along! And please, let us know how we can improve: Give us your suggestions in the comments below, so we can make the hunt better for you!

  1. I think my only suggestion for the next hunt would be to have all the authors have there numbers look the same. For example all be in bold or highlighted in red. I found it hard to sometimes know if something was their number or just a date highlighted. Thanks for the fun hunts!

    1. For example all the blue team highlight their numbers in blue and vice versa for the red team.

  3. Shucks....got to visit most of the sites, before I got sick. It was just as fun as last time, though. One site wasn't working the first day and I didn't feel up to checking it again the next. Even though I'm not in the running, I just wanted to tell everyone I can't wait until next time!

  4. This was my 5th hunt and it was just as exciting as all the others times have been. Thanks for sending us on another great adventure. Those two winners are going to be very lucky!

Thanks again to all the authors who participated!

  5. This was fun, but I totally agree with Elizabeth. I thought it was hard to find some of the numbers, especially when the author would say something like "I'm letting you know my favorite number somewhere in the post below" but there wasn't anything about a favorite number. Just a number highlighted or hidden in the text of whatever. I would also suggest that no other numbers be used. Thanks ya'll ♥

  6. It was, yet again, a really great hunt! I actually like the fact that not all authors hid their numbers in the same way, like that you really had to pay attention.
Next time, however, I'd really like to have another word-hunt, like the one where we had to fill in the blanks of a text. That was really exciting and afforded brain and imagination rather than a calculator ;D

Again, thanks for the great hunt!

  7. I can't wait for the next one! I think all the authors need to format the numbers the same it is hard to find! Also I loved when it was letters not numbers it was more fun to figure out the sentence rather than adding up numbers!

  8. This being my first hunt, I had a great time! I entered for the Red AND Blue team so it definitely took some time out of my day, but it was a lot of fun. Hopefully I wrote down all the numbers correctly. I'll be so sad if I miss counted/miswrote my numbers and don't qualify lol. Many many new books added to my reading list though! This is a tri-annual thing, right? Can't wait to the next :)

  9. Do we get to find out what the winning numbers were - to see if we were correct? Thanks

  10. It was great. Also it would be cool if the numbers were connected in some way to form..... Like a secret puzzle or something and try to solve it

  11. Why does #YASH delete the websites? It'd be nice if we can peruse through the websites and all the info that was in the hunt (even without the giveaways) to just read through the content.

    1. Also I'd like to suggest that we make it slightly longer because there are a lot of participants so I didn't get to read all the exclusive content :(

  12. I would say having a stricter start time. Everybody gets busy, but if some posts are up for days in advance and others aren't up for hours after the official start time, it makes the hunt difficult to do as intended (blog to blog). Instead, it's just easier to lurk on the stuck page. I think it's fun to hunt for the numbers, but having uniform colors, at least for each team, would be helpful. It's werid when some members of the blue team have red numbers and others have blue. All in all, a very successful hunt completed. Thanks for doing all this and well done!

  13. I would also like to request that the sites stay up even after the contest is over. I don't always have time to review 50 blogs...but I LOVE finding new authors and it's a great way to find new books.

  14. I thought it was great as usual , new and old authors and some that I love but weren't involved but that's okay there's Facebook :)

  15. I feel like there should be a way to confirm that you found the right number because it'd be really disappointing when your entry is wrong and not counted. And also, the number font should be easy to distinguish. All in all, it was fun!
